"Kinder goats originated in 1988 in Snohomish, Washington, as a cross between a Nubian doe and a pigmy buck. The cross produced a dual-purpose goat of medium size ranging from about 100-125 pounds. They produce large amounts of sweet milk with a butterfat content around 7%. It makes delicious cheese, which is even better when paired with our blueberries or figs and honey. When butchered, they dress out at around 60% of body weight. The meat is tasty and keeps our freezers and crockpot full. Since they require less pasture than larger breeds, they are the perfect family and homestead goat. Our kinders have been a joy from the beginning. They are friendly and docile and are fun to be around."
