Laurel Ridge Plantation began with the purchase of a small farm over a decade ago with a hunting cabin and a beautiful view of neighboring John’s Mountain. It is located in the Turkey Heaven Mountain region of Cleburne County, Alabama, in the foothills of the Appalachians, just over the Georgia line and only a short drive from Atlanta and Birmingham.  The owners, John and Carla Durham, retired to the property in 2007, expanded the property holdings and manage the timber, farm, vacation rental and recreational enterprises of Laurel Ridge. What started as a small farm and hunting cabin has grown to nearly 1000 acres of beautiful hardwood and pine forests. John and Carla hope that you will join them to share in the natural beauty and participate in some of the many opportunities to enjoy the refreshing change of pace that is part and parcel of the Laurel Ridge Plantation experience.  If John and Carla can’t show you and your group something fun to do at Laurel Ridge, then the Tide doesn’t Roll, the War Eagle doesn't fly and Alabama is not the Heart of the South!
